If you'll recall back in the day, soon after the movie Swingers came out, the phrase "so money" was very popular. A typo in an email from a friend and a cool last name coincided to create the phrase "So Moeny" which, by the way, is pretty much synonymous with "so money."

The Blog:
I actually started this blog, originally called So Moeny, in July 2008 when we were moving from the heart of Washington, DC to the town of Blacksburg - population ~10,000 when you take out the students (40,000 with the students). I knew this big life change would be fraught with great material as I envisioned myself as the classic "fish out of water" case.
I wouldn't have always considered myself a city girl. I grew up in the suburbs of Richmond, VA, went to two southern schools for my bachelor's and master's degrees and swore I would never move north of the Mason Dixon Line. Yes, I really said that. Aloud. Often.
But I met my now husband, ProMo, who convinced me to explore outside of the states of Virginia and North Carolina. So in a span of ten years I lived and/or worked in Baltimore, New York City, Baltimore again, and Washington, DC. Before I knew it, I was a master of parallel parking, mass transit, finding the best neighborhood bar, and comfortable yet stylish shoes.
Just as I was settling in and envisioning the fabulous condo that ProMo and I were going to get in Northwest DC, he got a job offer he couldn't refuse in a small yet lively college town nestled in the mountains of Southwest Virginia. Cue the "Green Acres" theme song.
So here I am. After I set up the blog, I lost steam as I tried to find a job of my own, then ultimately found one in the same department as ProMo. I work a lot with students who represent 3/4 of the town's population, so a night out with the hubby is often an exercise in hiding from students...which as you can imagine, is near impossible.
I laid low for a while, but life is short and I have a lot of stories to share so this is my forum!
Along the way, I decided to change the name to the more descriptive "Crazed and Amused" in homage to a great 90's-throwback-70's movie. It is also very indicative of my current state...
Enjoy, comment, add and come back soon!
Love it!!
